Ingredients
( 1 ) 100 grams paneer
( 2 ) 100 grams green peas
( 3 ) 20 grams khus khus
( 4 ) 50 grams magatari seeds
( 5 ) 2 table spoons ghee
( 6 ) 1 table spoon oil
( 7 ) 1/2 tea spoon cumin seeds
( 8 ) A pinch asafoetida
( 9 ) 1 tea spoon ginger-chilli paste
( 10 ) 100 grams onions
( 11 ) 10 cloves garlic
( 12 ) 250 grams tomatoes
( 13 ) 1 tea spoon turmeric powder
( 14 ) A small desiccated coconut
( 15 ) 2 tea spoons garam masala
( 16 ) 30 grams butter
( 17 ) Salt to taste
Method
( 1 ) Cut the paneer into long pieces and deep fry in ghee. Soak the fried paneer pieces in water.
( 2 ) Boil the green peas in water with a little salt added to it. Soak the khus khus and magatari seeds in water for 1 hour. Strain to remove the water. Grind it into a fine paste.
( 3 ) Heat ghee, oil and fry the cumin seeds, and asafoetida for 1 minute. Add ginger-chilli paste and onion-garlic paste. Fry for 4 to 5 minutes.
( 4 ) Add the khus khus paste, turmeric powder, desiccated coconut, garam masala and salt. Fry it till the ghee separates.
( 5 ) Add butter, green peas and paneer pieces. Let it simmer on a low flame for 5 minutes. Remove it from the flame. Serve hot.
