Ingredients
( 1 ) 500 grams ½eerasar rice flour
( 2 ) 250 grams urad dal
( 3 ) 250 grains curds
( 4 ) 1 tea spoon soda
( 5 ) 1 tea spoon citric acid
( 6 ) Green chutney
( 7 ) 100 grams rice flour
( 8 ) Tomato sauce
( 9 ) Oil
(10) Salt to taste
Method
( 1 ) Mix rice flour and urad dal. Grind into a coarse flour. Add curds and make a thin batter. Keep aside for a few hours for fermentation.
( 2 ) While making the idlis add salt, soda and citric acid to the batter.
( 3 ) Steam idlis in katoris. Divide each idli into two horizontally. Apply green chutney to it. Again between the two pieces.
( 4 ) Prepare a thin batter of rice flour and salt.
( 5 ) Dip the idli in this batter and fry them in hot oil till golden brown in colour.
