Ingredients
( 1 ) 100 grams dried methi powder (fenugreek seeds)
( 2 ) 350 to 400 grams ghee
( 3 ) 250 grams wheat flour (coarse)
( 4 ) 300 grams jaggery
( 5 ) Dry coconut (grated)
( 6 ) A few almonds
( 7 ) 250 grams powdered sugar
( 8 ) A little khus khus
( 9 ) A little dry ginger powder
(10) A little ganthoda powder (pepper root)
(11) A few magatari seeds (pounded)
Method
( 1 ) Take enough ghee in a fry pan. Roast the wheat flour in it. Cut the jaggery into small pieces. Remove the wheat flour from the flame.
( 2 ) Mix dry coconut, almonds (powdered), magatari seeds, dry ginger powder, ganthoda powdered sugar and khus khus.
( 3 ) Mix the jaggery and the wheat flour. Cool it and mix all the other ingredients. If ghee is less additional ghee may be added. From mixture make the ladoo (small balls).
Note :
( 1 ) If ladoo's are made for men 150 grams of gum (pounded) may be added.
( 2 ) If you desire to add more methi flour then reduce the wheat flour by the same amount. If urad flour is added, add warm milk and warm ghee to the flour. Rub and press the flour. Leave aside for sometime. Sieve through a steel sieve. Roast in ghee till light brown. Add this and then form ladoos.
( 3 ) If you want to add more amount of methi, then reduce the amount of wheat flour.
